Cervix Portrait Party

3 hr party to celebrate your cervix!

What is the Cervix Portrait Party?

It’s a party for people who want to learn more about their cervix, see their cervix, and take their very own Beautiful Cervix Portrait! The 3 hours are jam-packed with cervical health tips, vulva mapping, and speculum spelunking all within the care and support of a trauma-informed, loving, and supportive circle. This is a party you won’t soon forget!

How do I prepare for the party?

You will need:

Speculum

Hand mirror

(preferably one that can stand up on it’s own)

Flashlight

Personal lubricant

(natural oils work great!)

Pillow, blanket, and / or yoga mat for your comfort

Something to take the photo with

(traditional camera or phone)

Anything you need to take care of yourself

(food, water notebook, etc.)

Other tips:

Pick a place / room where you have privacy, no distractions, and feel safe

Chloe recommends wearing a skirt / dress or clothing that makes the vulva accessible without having to take off too much clothing

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Can I come to the party if I’m menstruating?

Yes! You can participate in the party anywhere in your cycle you are comfortable with. Menstruating cervixes make beautiful cervix portraits, too!

  • Is there nudity involved?

Yes, Chloe will be demonstrating how to map your vulva and use the speculum on video. There will be sharing opportunities however participation is never mandatory.

  • Where do I get a speculum?

Tips on Choosing Size of Speculum

(from the Beautiful Cervix Project)

Small:
This size is recommended if you have never had children vaginally or have very tight pelvic floor muscles or are uncomfortable with penetration by a sex toy or penis.

Medium:

This size is recommended if you have had children vaginally and/or are comfortable with penetration by a sex toy or penis.

Long:

This size is recommended if you have had children vaginally or are comfortable with penetration by sex toy/penis AND if you have trouble reaching your cervix with your finger because it is so deep within the vagina.

If you're unsure, go with a small one.
